NOTA Explains Why Cassper’s Boxing Match Defeat Marked The End Of His Rap Career. Loved and loathed by many, Cassper’s boxing match defeat has opened a can of worms for the famed rapper. Others may think the rapper’s loss isn’t a huge problem, with hopes that the rapper would make a comeback when he faces NaakMusiq for a rematch, but NOTA says that’s not the case.
Speaking on the post-match in a Twitter Space, NOTA explained how Cassper’s defeat to NaakMusiq will have a major negative impact on his rap career. The famed music executive made it known that no one will take Cass seriously in SA hip hop since the game is all about bragging rights and the loss has posed massive damage in that regard.
“What we witnessed izolo (yesterday) was the end of Cassper’s rap career,” he said. “As a rapper, you cannot lose a fight, because as a rapper the only thing that can give you credibility is your masculinity you need to be the most macho man in the room, that’s why rappers say who killed who on a track,” NOTA explained.
NOTA Baloyi further revealed why Cassper will have a difficult time instilling confidence in his audience. He mentioned that everyone is aware that Cassper lost the fight, and his credibility is on the line regardless of the good music he is going to make.
“The way to destroy another rapper, is to destroy his credibility,” said NOTA. “It doesn’t matter how nice the song is that Cassper is going to make at the end of the day his fans know and his enemies’ fans know that he lost the fight.
NOTA expanded by making it clear that the stakes were high for Cassper before the boxing fight. Baloyi recited the interview that Cassper had with Slikour where he revealed that AKA wanted R8,5 Million to fight Cass in a boxing match, a clear indication that AKA was aware of the stakes in case he lost.
“In his interview with SlikourOnLife, he said AKA wanted R8,5 Million because he knew that if he loses the fight it will be the end of his career.”
“The same could’ve applied to Cassper as well if he lost the fight would’ve been the end of his career as well. He lost this fight it’s the end of his rap career, no one will ever take him seriously as a rapper he had a lot to risk,” NOTA said.
NOTA also wrote in a tweet that he tried to save Cassper’s rap career by offering R250K to face him in a rap battle but the rapper’s ego got the better of him. “I even put down R250k & Capper ran away… I was trying to save his rap career but foolish pride made him run from my offer!” Tweeted NOTA.
