Uncle Vinny has been under the wings of Boss Zonke until the time he got his first partnership deal with Puma. During an interview on Who Dat Wednesday Podcast, Uncle Vinny unpacked how Riky linked him up with the Puma partnership at a very young age.

“I was in Riky’s changing room and everybody kept coming and Riky was like yoh meet this guy this is my boy hook him up,” he said. “That guy said, no man you can come to the store next week, so, me I’m thinking I’m coming to the store next week I’m just thinking you know come and go search a pair of shoes,” he revealed.

The young rapper further explained how he started working and all the benefits he acquired from that time and how he was told to take anything he wanted at the Puma store. “I get there and he said to me take anything, I said take anything that you want, I took everything and I remember I took like clothes and other stuff,” he said.

Uncle Vinny was made the brand ambassador after he shared pictures wearing the free clothes he got from Puma. That proved to be a turning point for him in his career as he managed to get international campaigns with the brand.

“We took a lot of content and they started liking me rocking the things, I actually like the brand, and personally for my liking I was like oh Puma is actually like a great brand and I can grow with it anytime or any day.”

“I started pushing with them and when I was at school someday randomly call me and say we have an international campaign for you that you have to do and I was like I’m down and everything just clicked,” he said.
