AKA has been an excellent brand ambassador for Cruz Vodka, and the two have had a successful partnership. After AKA was on the clear following the passing of his late fiance, the rapper resumed his partnership with the popular alcohol brand, but it looks like the partnership has been short-lived.

The rapper recently stated on Instagram that he has split relations with Cruz Vodka and that his name would be taken from their stylish bottles. AKA described his decision to part ways with Cruz as the best decision for both parties as he readies himself for the next chapter.

The World Is Yours hitmaker also revealed that he plans to develop his own alcohol line in the future. AKA went on and showed love for the brand and appreciated their support for his new chapter.

A good day in the office today- while the Cruz brands will forever remain both in my heart and my bar, I’ve taken the decision to evolve my business and will be launching my own spirit brand in the near future.

As such my name will be removed from the Cruz Watermelon bottle, and Banana will exit in summer.

Much love to the @cruzvodka Family for their understanding and for supporting this new chapter of my life.” Wrote AKA.

In a statement from Cruz Vodka shared on AKA’s Instagram page, it revealed that The Super Mega remains an integral part of the Cruz family. The statement further mentioned that AKA’s name will be removed from all the Cruz Vodka bottles and AKA’s brand will be reserved for his products.

“While AKA will remain an integral part of Cruz’s family and a valued business partner, as per his request, we will be phasing his name off the Cruz Watermelon bottle and will phase Cruz Banana out of the market this summer.” Reads the statement.
