Cassper Rubbishes Claims He Does Not Own Billiato. If you follow SA hip hop music there are many occasions rappers will be pouring something good to sip on. Could be a 40 oz. Malt Liquor, a fifth of vodka, a handle of Hennessy, and the list goes on. Cassper Nyovest has emerged as one of the few rappers who is now flaunting an alcohol brand that he owns.
Cassper launched his alcohol brand Billiato and that showed he is becoming more than a rapper but a businessman too. The Tito Mboweni hitmaker has been enjoying the positive response his alcohol business has had since its inception, but it has been alleged that he is not the majority owner of the business.
Taking to Twitter, the controversial Musa Khawula stated that Cassper is not the owner of Billiato, revealing the brand’s owner, David de Mardt. “Meet the owner and director of Billiato, David de Mardt. Billiato is an alcoholic brand paraded by Cassper Nyovest as his own. David de Mardt is a CEO of Cruz and other alcoholic brands said to be owned by South African celebrities.” Reads the tweet.
Cassper did not take time to respond and rubbished the claims. The rapper mentioned that the claims are false and he made it known that he is the majority shareholder and not a brand ambassador or an influencer. “I am the majority shareholder of Billiato. Not only am I an owner but I’m the founder, the CEO and Marketing director!!! I own my products. I’m not a brand ambassador or an influencer. The support from the people has been sooo amazing. Please do keep supporting us. Thank you.” Tweeted Cassper.
In another tweet, Cassper took a cheeky dig at other alcohol brands for feeling the pressure that has been brought by Billiato in the market. The rapper has his fans and alcohol drinkers to thank who have supported the brand since it was launched.
“Lol… Billiato applying too much pressure i see. Your support is shaking the tables of these big businesses. Don’t be fooled. They probably planning a smear campaign as we speak. We will not fold. We taking over. Thank you for your support. The is only the biggening!!” He Tweeted.
Not only is Billie selling well for Cassper, but the rapper also recently announced that another Root Of Fame sneaker will be released soon.
