NOTA Exposes Slikour’s Business Model Which ‘Exploits’ Artists. Despite offering an apology to Slikour for the erroneous accusations, NOTA has come out again with a barrage of criticisms.
NOTA and Slikour have known each other from way back during the Skwatta Kamp days and since then their relationship has been topsy turvy. Taking to Twitter, NOTA Baloyi revealed that he was exploited by Slikour after he managed their social media accounts back in the day. The music executive made it known that he was paid nothing rather he was offered Nandos 1/4 Chicken.
“I went to Slikour’s office to manage their social media as stated on Netflix Behind The Label. Thankfully my pocket money was enough for my taxi fare there & back home because they only offered to pay me a Nandos 1/4 Chicken… I was so insulted, I bought my own & worked for free!” Tweeted NOTA.
In another tweet, NOTA revealed that Slikour has put in place a business model that is meant to exploit artists and benefits him only. Baloyi revealed that Slikour collaborates with advertising agencies that sell an artist’s image for campaigns and split the revenues while paying the artists less.
“This is @Slikouron’s business model: He goes to his “inside men” at advertising agencies & in the brand/marketing departments at the few corporations that dominate South Africa. Then he sell the image of artists for their campaigns pockets the profits then pays artists peanuts!” NOTA revealed via a tweet.
NOTA went on and disclosed the reason behind Infa’s departure from Swkatta Kamp revealing that he didn’t want to be exploited by Slikour. “Why did Infa leave Skwatta Kamp? He didn’t want to be exploited by @slikouron…” wrote NOTA.
NOTA and Slikour have always been at loggerheads. NOTA took to Twitter and revealed that Slikour was suing him for defamation of character.
