Rashid Kay Explains Why Emtee Deserves A G.O.A.T Status Over Kwesta

During the Masterclass Podcast episode, Rashid Kay and OG Smake weighed in on SA rappers of all time. The famed radio DJs did not have any problem with naming Stogie T as one of the best rappers and lyricists in the world. “I think he is one of the best lyricists in the world,” Rashid said with OG Samke agreeing to the notion.

Rashid Kay went on to say that Emtee must be included on the list of the best rappers of all time since he is the father of the African Trap Movement. “Emtee G.O.A.T, Emtee is the father of African Trap, why can’t he be G.O.AT.?” Rashid said.

The SA hip hop veteran further explained why he would crown Emtee with the G.O.A.T status over Kwesta after OG Smake brought Kwesta into the debate. “So then would you say Kwesta G.O.A.T?” OG Smake asked. “Because you can’t say Emtee G.O.A.T and not say Kwesta G.O.A.T,” OG Smake alluded.

“I said, Stogie T lyricism, I said Emtee African trap, and then where do I place Kwesta?” Rashid responded. Kwesta and Emtee have made massive contributions to the SA hip hop culture and they have attracted a massive following in the game.
