NOTA Explains Why He Thinks Drake’s New Album Is Not Up To Par

With all of the excitement around Black Coffee’s co-production of Drake‘s new album, it has come to light that not everyone is a fan of Drake’s dance record. NOTA as usual took to Twitter and weighed in his opinion on Drake’s new project.

The music executive has gained a reputation for being outspoken about anything that involves the entertainment industry. NOTA alluded that Drake’s album is subpar because of the ways it is sounding. Baloyi went on and compared Drake’s project with that of DJ Maphorisa and with Makwa’s sound on AKA’s song Energy.

Look what Maphorisa did with a Camino Del Sol bootleg. How Makwa interpolated the chords progression from Spirit Chaser or how he set up Gemini Major with a classic on AKA’s Energy… Those guys will house you, literally give you hits that put a roof over your head. Drake missed!” Tweeted NOTA.

NOTA did not mince words when he expressed his two senses on Drake’s record, even bringing Chad Da Don into the argument. Baloyi stated that because he listened to Chand Da Don’s record all the way through, he must do the same with Drake’s project. “I listened to Chad Da Don’s album from start to finish so I have to give Drake the same courtesy!” NOTA tweeted.
