Here Is Why Big Xhosa Won’t Take Advice From Anyone In SA Hip Hop. Big Xhosa has dubbed himself the “black sheep” of South African hip hop, stating that he has not been welcomed and that his music is not well received in the industry.
The rapper being an independent artist has mapped ways to create his art the way he sees fit without anyone dictating to him what to do and what not to do. Taking to Instagram, the outspoken rapper has revealed why he will never take advice from anyone in the hip-hop industry.
Big Xhosa claimed via an Instagram story that listening to people has wasted his time and he is now relying more on his fans to push his music and art in the game. “I’ll never take advice from any industry person ever again that sh*t delayed me,” he wrote. “I’m now into feeding the audience and supporters. New music and video next week,” he expressed.
Big Xhosa had promised his fans to drop new music in Fustek a few weeks ago. The rapper has finally released the highly anticipated single as he took a swipe at the SA rap game. The Ninyile chanter in his lyrics called the rap game laughable.
Building up to the release of his song, Big Xhosa praised his fans at the same time taking a dig at SA hip-hop platforms that do not say anything to push his music. “Monday Im back dropping a new song with video after 3 months,” wrote Big Xhosa. “Watch how them hip hop people/ blogs won’t say sh*t about it coz it’s me but you know what? I got the best supporters and we go number one without them people supporting us.”
