Reason Reacts To AKA’s Verdict To Big Zulu’s Diss Track
Reason Reacts To AKA’s Verdict To Big Zulu’s Diss Track. SA hip hop has been abuzz and a lot of noise has been made following the release of Big Zulu’s 150 Bars diss track. The likes of AKA, Reason, Emtee, Gigi Lamayne and Big Xhosa all found themselves reacting to Nkabi Boss’s 150 Bars.
With all the different reactions towards Big Zulu’s diss track, AKA was one of the rappers to come out and ridiculed the song because it comes with a disclaimer at the end. The Super mega mentioned that the approach that Big Zulu used in his diss track is not how it’s done in Hip hop. “There is no such thing as an Ubuntu diss track.” Tweeted AKA.
With Reason aka Sizwe Alakine praising Big Zulu’s diss track on Twitter one of his followers made it known to him that AKA has described the track as “Ubuntu diss.” The Do It Like I Can chanter went on and responded that the Super Mega must then show the Nkabi Boss how it’s done, precisely he was requesting AKA to respond to the track. “Then he must show Big Zulu how it’s done 🤷🏾♂️ Isn’t that Hip Hop?” Tweeted Reason.
In another tweet, Reason also advised that people must not be fooled by Zulu people’s statement like “Hayi Kabi bafo. Ngiyak’hlonipha nje nge ndoda, kodwa… ungang jwayeli kabi,” which he claimed Big Zulu turned into a rap verse. This translates to; “No, not bad, guys. I respect you as a man, but… don’t be rude.”
“Don’t let the speech at the end of #150Bars confuse you. If you know Zulu people, then you will be familiar with statements like… “Hayi Kabi bafo. Ngiyak’hlonipha nje nge ndoda, kodwa… ungang jwayeli kabi” Big Zulu just turned that into a rap verse. Makunyiwe!” Tweeted Reason.
As it stands, no big-name SA rapper has released a response to Big Zulu, but there are high chances that K.O will shake the airwaves as he anticipates dropping a response to the 150 Bars track. Gigi Lamayne is also one of the rappers who has accepted the challenge even though she and the Nkabi Boss are good old friends.
