Nasty C and Stilo Magolide‘s collabo on the song “Day Off” will still go down as one of the best in SA hip hop. The song gained traction in 2016 when it was released. Day Off might have brought a positive impact on both rappers’ careers, but Stilo Magolide shared the other side of how people made him feel on his role on the track.

Speaking during the PopCast Podcast interview, Stilo revealed that “Day Off” haunts him. The rapper explained that he feels that way because of the comparisons that came after the song was consumed. “Day Off, that’s like one of the songs that haunts me,” he said.

Stilo Magolide went on and explained his reasons why the song haunts him by saying; “a lot of people like for years like Nasty C bodied you, and I’m like but guys, you are not listening to the song.” “Me on that song I’m talking about my day off, and I’m talking about my day off on the most simple, straightforward South African laymen term,” he explained.

Stilo went on and made it clear that people should understand that he and Nasty C are different and whenever the Hell Naw hitmaker jumps on a song is always ready to rap. “When you are dealing with Nasty on a song, unless you came to rap because he came to rap, he’s always come to rap,” said Stilo.

He expressed that people are the one who makes the song haunts him because they always want to make everything in hip hop looks like a battle.  “It haunts me because it’s like, such a dope song and I love that song so much mara why do people always gotta make it like a battle?” Stilo Magolide said.
