The group members had the potential of becoming superstars in SA hip hop but their egos took control of what would have been the finest talent in the game today. Speaking in an interview on Nkululeko And Culture, Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh reveals how the group splited and how fame changed his good old friend AKA.

“That was one of the first important friend groups that I had, and im still really good friends with Nhlanhla (Greyhound),” he said. “Even though most people know AKA for good reason because he is super famous, it’s actually fascinating to watch how the different lives that we were within in that group that has actually moved in different directions.

Walsh remarked that he is a little bewildered and saddened by how AKA’s fame significantly changed him, especially in light of how close they were as childhood friends before the creation of Entity. “I harbour a bit of confusion and sadness with the way that fame in some ways changed AKA, we have been really good friends, like sleeping over at each other’s house you know doing this thing together and all of us together this really tightness friend group,” Walsh said.

“I think fame does something to people, the more famous he became, the more detached he became from that original group of friends,” he said. Walsh further mentioned that he now totally understands AKA’s position considering the fact that the rapper got famous at a very young age and trying to navigate that situation was hard for him.

I think I have gone through different emotions thinking about that, first one is resentment like, so now when you are successful you totally forget about you know, but I think I’m more sympathetic in some ways now as well because I think it really hard to be famous when you are young, it really plays on your mind and it can destroy you.” He added.
