Nadia Nakai Reacts To Her BET Award Nomination. The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees were revealed on Monday, September 12, with Canadian rapper Drake topping the field. Nadia Nakai and Blxckie, are the two rappers from South Africa who are up for awards in the Best International Flow category. The Mzansi rappers will be facing competition from artists from Ghana and the United Kingdom that include the likes of Central Cee.
Even though Nadia Nakai has gained fame in the SA hip-hop space, the rapper was nominated as a Zimbabwean rapper. Taking to Instagram, Nadia Nakai expressed her excitement about being nominated for one of the biggest music awards in the music world.

Nadia Nakai has been a massive contributor to SA hip hop as she has worked with numerous rappers on some of the successful tracks in the game. Recently she featured in Zonke Remix with various artists including her boyfriend AKA. The famed rapper also collaborated with the MajorSteez brothers in the Amapiano sound “Delicious.” She also released a single Not The Same featuring LucasRaps in July.
Blxckie is also one of South Africa’s biggest career-defining stars in 2021 and his nomination for the award can come as no surprise for many. Somnyama became an immediate music world influence after the release of his debut album, B4Now.
