NOTA Takes A Jab At DJ Maphorisa’s Critics. DJ Maphorisa has been an all-rounder producer in SA music, his impact on SA hip hop and other genres with the most notable one right now being Amapiano has been phenomenal. Even with all the good, he has done for most artists, the famed producer has received criticism for how he has allegedly mistreated other artists.
Taking to Twitter, NOTA who is also a reputable music executive ridiculed all the ill that has been said about DJ Maphorisa. The controversial Baloyi stated that Phori has taken care of most artists who have become superstars right now. He expressed his disgust towards all the criticism towards the Soweto Baby hitmaker.
“When we had nothing Maphorisa housed us, fed us & helped us feed ourselves… You’ll never see me biting a hand that once fed me. I’m disgusted by all the Phori slander that goes around on the timeline & all these podcasts it’s absolutely disgusting. You’re all f*cking k*ffirs!” Tweeted NOTA.
Despite all the good he has done for most artists in the SA music industry, DJ Maphorisa has also been mean to the same artist. Phori has once caused a stir on Facebook in which he went after “disrespectful” producer Makwa and “jealous” singer Dr Malinga. The famed producer, later on, apologized for his ill-thought words toward his fellow artists.
“I tripped. Sorry guys I become soft and sensitive sometimes. Makwa I love you, boy. I’m sorry I tripped. Dr Malinga askies grootman laka. Let’s push love forward. Let’s make music guys and feed our families. Sorry again,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Even after Phori apologized to his fellow artists, recently Dr Malinga ignited the beef stating that he won’t seek help from the famed producer even at his lowest. “I don’t think in my lowest I’ll call DJ Maphorisa for help. I don’t see him as a person who can help me. I don’t understand him anymore.” Said Malinga.
