Nota Recounts How He Dealt With Reason Over An Unpaid Debt. With all he has contributed to South African hip hop, Nota should have everyone worshipping the ground he walks on, but the music executive has made a lot of foes along the way.
The controversial rapper has dragged most rappers on Twitter as he exposed certain unknown occurrences that have left SA hip-hop fans with a lot of unanswered questions towards their favourite artists. Recently, Nota Baloyi has revealed that Reason aka Sizwe Alakine owed him money as he recounted how he made the rapper pay him back.
Nota took to Twitter to caution individuals who might want to try some shenanigans with his money, as he doesn’t play with it. Nota also said that he pulled up on Stogie T in a bid to get his respect and he did the same to Sol Phenduka and Slikour.
“When Reason owed me money, I had an example out of him that got more engagement than his Warner Africa album launch. I don’t play about my money. I pulled up on Stogie T to get my respect. I paid Sliloure to shut up about me. I shout Sol Phenduka up for good. I’ll make or break you,” he tweeted.
Sizwe Alakine, who recently declared that he would no longer use Twitter due to its negativity, announced the release of his rapiano album. The veteran rapper posted on Instagram that his new project was inspired by the late Riky Rick and it’s all about merging amapiano and rap together and coming out with a unique sound altogether.
“Ricky once came up to me and said “Reas’… this thing you’re pushing is fucken dope. I’m not sure what it is… cause it’s Rap. And it’s also Piano. Sooooooo it’s some sort of RAPIANO thing going on… but I love it. This is definitely your pocket. F*ck them up!” I’ve since ran with the term RAPIANO as a way to explain my creative intention with this sound.” Wrote Reason.
