Watch! Kid X Celebrates 1 Year Of His 3rd Album “Father Of Zen.” For rapper Kid X, being a parent has been a leap of faith. As a result, he was inspired to name his third album after his daughter.

Kid X took to Twitter and shared a video of himself on the rooftop performing “The Cure,” a song from his album “Father Of Zen.” This was done to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his third album, “Father Of Zen.”

“FATHER OF ZEN turns 1 YEAR today. Enjoy this performance of The Cure put together by the good people at Portraits Afrika.” Tweeted Kid X. In the same tweet, Kid X revealed that he wanted to feature his favourite rapper on the song but there was a break in communication.

“Leading up to the release of FOZ, I had this crazy idea of featuring my favrit rapper in the world on this song. So I shot my shot. I sent him the record, he loved it, was ready to jump on it, then our communication broke down. Can you imagine how Phonte woulda killed this.” Kid X added.

Kid X claimed that his trip to Egypt served as inspiration for the album’s composition and gave him a fresh outlook on life. “Following my 2019 trip to Egypt, I came back with a new wider perspective on life, I felt that I had tapped into a deeper level of myself as never before. With this shift in perspective and realization, I felt a strong urge to pour all this energy into a new project that would detail my journey of evolution.” He wrote.

He added; “At inception, this project had a different name, I wanted to call it Persian Rug or something crazy like that, all stemming from the concept of the Persian flaw..a couple months later, I had added a couple more tracks and the project had evolved to “I Thank You”..which would have been a closing chapter to my previous LP. Then I experienced God in the most beautiful way through my journey of marriage and becoming a father, and that brought about a new title in my life.“
