Moozlie has been in the spotlight for the past decade, and she has gained notoriety through her impact on SA Hip hop and being a TV presenter. It has been an eventful decade for the slain rapper and she is looking forward to more adventure.
In an interview with Drum Magazine, the rapper revealed that she is on the verge of returning to music. Moozlie has been serving as a creative director in the fashion space but she is now ready to drop new music for his starved fans.
The 30-year-old did not rule out her chances of making music again as she stated that she will return to the studio next year to drop new joints. “Music will always be one of her many creative outlets,” she said. “I’m back in studio, which I’m really excited about. I’m hoping to release new music next year which people can look forward to.”
Speaking on how she envisioned the FILA-Drip partnership she claimed that the iconic cage shoe shape was the source of her inspiration. “We immediately knew we’d be going for that basketball feel, then the sneaker designer from Drip was able to localise it and pick colours that spoke to both brands and their customers.” Moozlie said.
Although the rapper hasn’t participated in South African hip-hop through music, she has had a significant effect on the scene by collaborating with Drip and FILA to improve fashion culture. “I worked with a number of different people from both the Drip and Fila teams. All the different departments all worked together to make this happen. It was a huge collaborative effort and I think we all learnt a lot from one another. It was a truly insightful experience that I’ll cherish forever.” She added.
