With the relevance of SA hip hop, the genre has attracted reputable markets that keep on promoting music and culture in different ways. Taking to Twitter, Shane Eagle appeared to be the latest rapper who got a node on the latest NBA 2K23 gaming soundtrack.

The rapper expressed his excitement as he claimed that he is the first South African artist to have a soundtrack featured on NBA 2K23. The Green chanter mentioned that it is an honour and a dream come true to be involved in the good side of history. “1st Artist from South Africa on the NBA2K23 Soundtrack with “Chocolate Milk” to be coded in such an iconic piece of history is an honour and dream come true! Grateful” 💪🏾 tweeted Shane Eagle.

The Chocolate Milk track was released in 2018 and it was taken from his beloved first Extended Play, ‘Never Grow Up.’ Never Grow Up is a fantastic EP that was made for purely hip-hop. It consists of seven excellent and fascinating tracks with no guest appearances.

Shane Eagle is not the first SA rapper to have their music played on a reputable video game. Recently, The Big Hash is one of the rappers who scored a feature on the FIFA 23 video game.
