The rapper claimed that she is being silenced and sabotaged and she doesn’t know why all that is happening. “I will never quit Hip Hop. Whoever is doing this need to stop. I’m being silenced and sabotaged. I don’t know why,” she wrote.

Gigi Lamayne is one of the rappers who has spoken out about the bad energy in South African hip hop and the lack of togetherness in the industry. Gigi Lamayne stated in one of her POV episodes with Big Xhosa that SA hip hop is toxic and that SA rappers should unite like Amapiano artists.

“The reason why I have never been affiliated to click is that the day hip hop realises that we don’t have to be grouped up, you don’t have to choose your favourite female rapper like let’s just get together and make things will be the day that we can compete on a level that Amapiano is competing on,” she said

“Hip hop is very toxic in this country, I’m telling you, very toxic, so the reason why I have mixed up my genres is not really out of choice even though I know I’m versatile.“ added Gigi Lamayne.
