The event organizers have upped the ante by announcing what might be the largest cast in the event’s history. Some of the biggest artists in SA music will grace this year’s Cotton Fest JHB from SA hip hop to Amapiano all of the event’s three stages will be electric.

With most of the exciting SA artists making it to the Cotton Fest stage, AKA appeared to be one of the reputable ones who will not be participating in the event. The rapper is currently on holiday in the USA and he is also working on his Mass Country album which will be released next month.

Taking to Twitter, The Supa Mega revealed the reason behind his absence. This came after one of his fans demanded he is included in the lineup. “WHERE IS @akaworldwide !!!!!!! WE WANT @akaworldwide TO PERFORM AT @CottonFestJHB !!!!!” Read the tweet.

In response, AKA said that he and the event organizers could not come to an agreement for him to perform. The rapper however showed his support for the event as he encouraged fans to buy tickets for the event. “We couldn’t come to an agreement but I wish them nothing but the best!! Get your tickets now!!!” He tweeted.

Despite AKA’s absence, SA hip-hop will still be well-represented at the event. The likes of Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Blxckie, Anatii, A-Reece, and Emtee amongst others will be ready to give their fans a show.
