Fans, on the other hand, have seen numerous hip-hop musicians’ love relationships develop on social media or on reality TV shows.

Most SA rappers always take every opportunity to flaunt their spouses on social media but that is not the case with the veteran rapper K.O. During an interview with L-Tido on the podcast Industry Unplugged the SkhandaWorld boss was asked why he prefers to keep his dating life secret. “Is there a reason why you are discreet when it comes to relationships?” L-Tido asked.

In response, K.O. gave a simple answer stating that what people don’t know can’t ruin. “People cant ruin sh*t they don’t know, it’s that simple,” he said. “I don’t need to post a lot of sh*t that is personal to me because I just want to protect my energy.”

K.O. made it clear that he will give people what they want to know about him which is his music, not anything that has to do with his personal life. “I’m a rapper, you’re gonna know about these raps and you’re gonna know about these records that I’m putting out. You don’t have to know about who like where I lay my head, like its non of your f*cking business,” he added.

Last year, K.O. was rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with Shekinah, but the rapper came out and refuted the rumours. “Wow! The audacity to peddle a complete lie, this is so low. I made a song with Shekhinah years ago but last night was actually my very first time meeting her in person at Altitude. That’s all there was, nothing to see here, have a good day,” 🖤 he tweeted.
