Following the success of his debut album Diaspora, the rapper plans to dive into township stories yet again. This time he is coming up with a different concept from that of Diaspora. Taking to Instagram, Maglera shared a picture of him and fellow rapper 25K as he details their upcoming music concept.

The rapper said in the post that this time around they will deliver the township friendships between the modern South African men. “Achuz. A township term for a friend. Taken from the term “Accused” in court to best embody a relationship that is of such close measures.

“Our next concept that we are opening up about in relation to the Diaspora is the camaraderie in the township between the Morden Southern African Man. The men of this country share many a similar pain, trauma and struggle. The looks on our faces are from the same scars. Nna ke rata bagotsi baka kaofela. Ka pelo e tsweu.”🤍 Wrote Maglera Doe Boy.

Following the release of Diaspora last year, it’s not surprising that the rapper went on and scoop the Best Male Award at the SAHHA. Diaspora is the best album Maglera could have made. It demonstrates his exceptional talent. His precise command of the English language, as well as his amazing intelligence.

There are several allusions to cryptic language that only Maglera and his close group would understand, as well as several accessible (some of which are specialized) pop culture connotations. It demonstrates how knowledgeable about the world the gifted MC is.
