Priddy Ugly Explains Why He Is Not Fond Of Receiving Beat Packs. The making of beats in any music genre is very crucial but not all of the beats can complement the artists’ type of flow mostly in rap music. Priddy Ugly is one of the SA rappers who came out and made it clear that he is not fond of using beat packs.
Taking to Twitter, the rapper said unequivocally that he will only take a beat pack if it is expressly for him. Priddy Ugly stated that he likes to jump on beats developed from scratch in his presence while working with the producer.
“Not too fond of receiving beat packs, unless if maybe the beats were specifically created or curated for me or with me in mind. I usually only like to hop on beats that were made from scratch in my presence, while I sit with the producer… makes my writing process more organic.” He tweeted.
He added that the only person that has given him beats that resonate with him is Zoocci Coke “Dope. In fact the only person that ever gave me a pack of beats that I actually fully resonated with was Zoo. I thought he made them specifically for me, & months later he mentioned that they were beats he had made for himself that he just couldn’t figure out how to utilise. High level.”
Priddy recently announced that he is currently working on his 3rd album, but no release date has been mentioned as of yet. “3rd ALBUM LOADING,” he tweeted.
