YoungstaCPT Fires Shots At ‘Mid’ SA Rappers On His Latest Joint “Song Of The Year.” There is no such thing called the right timing when you want to tell your truth in hip hop and Youngsta CPT has grabbed the bull by its horn this time around. Taking to Twitter, Youngsta CPT announced the release of the new single and he has caught many of his fans by surprise. Taking from the track YoungstaCPT is clearly not a fan of Tik Tok rappers and Eskom. The rapper makes multiple subtle motifs to South African rappers that released music in 2022.

The Cape Town rapper enlisted Shaney Jay for reworked recombination of a vintage House sample, which has been popular in recent South African Hip-Hop. In it, he addressed some of the most important entertainment events of 2022.

YoungstaCPT covered everything in his satirical analysis of the last year, from the tragic deaths of Takeoff, DJ Citilyts, and Riky Rick to criticizing TikTok rappers who use “copy and paste” to fit in. The likes of Nasty C, Blxckie, Dee Koala,  Holy Alpha, 25K, Maglera, Tyson, and Thato Saul in his own words, were spared from his animosity. He stated that the said rappers are the ones who made an impact and everybody else that dropped this past year, though, was mid.

Youngsta CPT went on and answered why he released only one song last year. He said that 2022 was a tribute to Riky Rick and other industry friends who passed away including DJ Dimplez and Tumi Tladi and being a rapper means you might die.

YoungstaCP is currently working on releasing a new album but it’s not yet clear whether he will also be dropping it this year.
