AKA’s Fans Label Burna Boy ‘Ungrateful’ The multi-award-winning singer Burna Boy conveyed his feelings over the death of his former colleague AKA on Thursday afternoon on his Instagram stories.
Burna Boy appeared to have infused his song with emotions as the recording of him performing the lyrics from his IG story can be heard. The “African Giant” described how AKA reacted when he spotted his gun years ago and AKA told him he was “wild”.
Burna Boy addressed his tumultuous relationship with the rapper in his post and stated his hope that AKA’s killers get apprehended. “But I didn’t want you dead, it was like that with me and you. Wicked! I hope they catch whoever did you wicked. I hope you rest in peace, even though we ain’t kick it,” he wrote.
The song has however received mixed emotions with most AKA fans accusing the Nigerian superstar of being ungrateful.
Last year, Burna Boy was in South Africa performing at the DStv Delicious. The Nigerian rapper jokingly mentioned having enemies and he went on to perform his part on “All Eyes On Me.” AKA and Burna’s relationship has been rocky and the two failed to iron out their differences until AKA’s last breath.
