Anele Zondo Reveals Nadia Nakai Replaced AKA With Her On The ‘Slim Thick’ Joint. Anele Zondo and Nadia Nakai joined forces on the track Slim Thick. The famed rappers shared a sex appeal on the track along with confidence, fashion taste, and musical styles together.

In an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, Anele expressed her excitement to collaborate with Nadia Nakai one of South Africa’s greatest female rappers. “One day I’m like Nadia, (“I think we must you know do something together”) she’s like (okay but let me just check what I have and then she actually sent me the Thick Slim beats with her verse already on there.

“When I listened to it I had to take off my earphones and make everybody listen to Nadia because I’ve never heard Nadia just gliding on that,” she said. Anele went and informed that Nadia told her that she swapped AKA with her as she conveyed how honoured she was with the gesture.

“But then she told me that AKA was actually on the track before I, which I didn’t know until the song was released actually because we went on a live and then that’s when she said no AKA is actually on the track before I was on the track, what an honour,” she said.

Anele continued by giving Nadia flowers in appreciation of her accomplishments in the male-dominated hip-hop industry. “For me Nadia is so legendary because if you remember listening to Amantombazane for the first time and hearing Nadia, that was a moment in history,” she said. “For the first we felt there was a female who finally spoken in our voice and was saying stuff that we were afraid to say,” Anele added.
