Big Xhosa Explains Why He Avoids Being Around Other Celebrities
Big Xhosa Explains Why He Avoids Being Around Other Celebrities. Big Xhosa’s rap career began with a slew of issues, but despite the scepticism of his contemporaries in the industry, the rapper managed to build a fan following.
The Ninyile chanter is very confident in front of the camera when he is working on his art, but he has revealed that is not his character in real life. Taking to Instagram, Big Xhosa stated that he avoids being around other celebrity friends because he is a loner.
“Let me be honest with you guys. To the ones that care. I always been a loner. I cant make friends. Hence you don’t see me around celebrities and stuff. It ends on the DMs. Turned down part invites studio meetings and more coz I don’t think I fit in and not once do I think I’m better than anyone. I don’t think I’m cool or good enough to hang around y’all,” he wrote.
Big Xhosa also stated that while he may look to be a confident guy in the eyes of the public, this is not the reality. “I might appear as the most confident person but in reality, I’m not. Only thing I’m confident in is my art. Other than that I’m just a shy kid from a very f*cked up environment,” added Big Xhosa.
“Forgive me I’ve been like this since high school, I was quite shy & “not cool” student. However, this is something I need to overcome coz God allowed me to be in this position and it was not by accident. Love you all and sorry if I ever came across an a**shole.”
Despite a rocky start in the South African hip-hop scene, with other rappers not paying attention to his talent, the rapper has since established relationships with a few key players in the game. Big Xhosa has engaged with the likes of Emtee, Chad Da Don, Slikour, and Major Steeze amongst others.
