AKA’s beef with Cassper was one of the major highlights of the rapper’s career. The two’s rivalry in SA hip hop gets to a point where they have to solve their issues in a boxing match. Now that AKA is no more Cassper has been on the chopping block with many SA hip-hop followers trying to get answers on his sentiments following AKA’s death.
Taking to Twitter, Mufasa was asked by one of his Twitter followers whether he will attend AKA’s memorial service. “@casspernyovest you pullin up at the memorial?” Read the tweet. In response, Cassper said that he will not attend AKA’s funeral and memorial service because he will be out of the country. The rapper said he would’ve attended the funeral if he was in the country and no matter how people interpret his relationship with Kiernan he still respects AKA’s contribution to SA hip hop and cherish every great moments they shared together.
“Unfortunately I’ll be out of the country for work but if I was around I would’ve went. I would’ve went to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, me and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects.” Wrote Cassper.
Following the tragic passing of AKA, Cassper called upon his fans to practice peace and love despite the rivalry that has been there between the Tsipibians and the Megacy. “To all my fans, pls send all your love to the Megacy and family. The nation is mourning & could use more love and less evil.” Tweeted Cassper Nyovest.
