SAPS On The 2 AKA Murderers On CCTV: “ We Have An Idea Who Those People Might Be”

SAPS held a press briefing on AKA and Tibz murder where they highlighted that whilst investigations are still underway they “Have An Idea Who Those People Might Be” even though no arrest have been made yet. 

This is a follow up of a statement the police released which read; “ The video confirms reports from police which state that “Information at police’s disposal at this stage indicate that the men were walking towards their vehicle from a restaurant when they were allegedly approached by two armed suspects who walked to them from across the street and shot the victims at close range. The suspects are reported to have fled from the scene on foot.” 

The police also further state that “ Both victims were declared dead at the scene. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this stage and police investigations are ongoing.” Which is attested by the video which clearly shows AKA falling and instantly bleeding. 

His family is said to be going through a really hard time with a press release which read “ It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son, and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of February 10, 2023. We are awaiting further details from the Durban Police.”
