AKA Hits Another Major Milestone On Spotify Streams
AKA Hits Another Major Milestone On Spotify Streams. As we approached the third month of the year, a lot has transpired in the South African hip-hop landscape since the year began. Wonderful music projects have been released, but the death of AKA has sent the game into a big funk.
AKA has not left his fans and loved ones in despair, but the slain rapper left a music legacy that will last for a lifetime. The Mass Country album has been well-received amongst hip-hop fans and the music streaming numbers have been nothing but exceptional.
Taking to Instagram, Mass Country executive producer Nhlanhla “Nivo” Ndimande shared how he and AKA always talked about their aspirations to get to 1 Million Spotify monthly listeners. But now the slain rapper is nolonger here to witness his victory lap. “1M Listeners 💔 We spoke about getting here one day… Well Done Forbes,” wrote Nivo.
AKA has become the third SA rapper to hit the 1 Million monthly listners milestone on Spotify joining Sauid and Nasty C. The Supa Mega’s music career has been marred with a lot of praises as he was one of the few SA rappers who managed to attract the fanbase by not singing in vernac.
During his music career, AKA has inspired a lot of artist in South Ah and his patriotism and love for South Africa was immense. In his words; “Imagine a South Africa without AKA.” Surely Kiernan Jarryd Forbes will be deeply missed in the game and in the country as a whole. At the same time, “Don’t thank AKA for the music, thank GOD for AKA.” – AKA.
