Big Xhosa Explains Why He Is Growing To Hate The Attention He Has Been Receiving. Big Xhosa has always been thankful to his fans ever since his rise to fame. The rapper has been flexing his creative muscles to deliver musical content that always amplifies the conversation within the SA hip-hop community.
Big Xhosa’s success has drawn not just devoted followers, but also major brands eager to collaborate with him. Since the start of the year, the rapper has not been very vocal compared to how he has been since the cameo and that has left some of his followers with a lot of questions.
Big Xhosa was questioned on Instagram by one of his fans why he has been so silent, given how enthusiastic he is when it comes to entertaining himself through his music and on social media. “Why so quiet these days?” Reads the question.
In response, the Ninyile chanter opened up by stating that he is growing to hate the attention he has been getting. Big Xhosa said that he is even thinking of changing his “Big Xhosa” stage name. “I’m growing to hate the attention that comes with this. It’s a lot of things I can say or do to go viral but I want a different approach to this thing now. I even hate the name Big Xhosa,” he responded.
Big Xhosa’s response gave the impression that he is considering rebranding, but the rapper made it clear that he already rebranded to Big Xhosa and thinks that he is not funny anymore. “Going to “Big Xhosa” character was the rebranding I did for numbers and attention. Im not that guy I don’t even think Im funny. I know one thing tho is that the music will speak for me this time. I won’t have to be a person I’m not. I’m not Big Xhosa I’m Sesethu,” he added.
