FIFI Cooper Bemoans Sexual Favours Within The SA Music Industry
FIFI Cooper Bemoans Sexual Favours Within The SA Music Industry. Sexual favours in the SA music industry might appear to be a queerness act but it is actually a reality that most of the big-name artists including rappers have to endure.
FIFI Cooper is one of the female artists who has endured the act of sexual favours. The rapper stated that working with those who seek favours that are unrelated to music poses significant obstacles for female artists.
“You know as a female artist one of the biggest challenges is the fact that sometimes you work with people that expect something back from you,” she said. “Not musically, but sexually, because I’ve also had a lot of people telling me because I’m a girl how I should dress, I’m not appealing to the market because I’m wearing a track bottom, but I have to appear wearing a g-string and what.” She said.
FIFI Cooper continued, adamantly insisting that she had to realize that some individuals would want to collaborate with her because they want something, while others will do so because they believe in her skill.
“So I had to be strong and understand that there will be people that will work with me because they believe in me, and there will be people that will work with me because they just want something you know from me.
“Knowing that I know as soon as I know even if it’s a contract or a studio session I put it out there that we are here to work and that’s all, she said.
