To that effect, A-Reece has been receiving flowers not only from his ever-loyal fanbase (slimes) but his fellow SA rappers have also acknowledged his work in the game. Taking to Twitter, PdotO admitted that rappers like A-Reece have made people listen to rap music again.

He has praised his fellow rapper’s contribution to the culture stating that he applauds Reece’s craft. “Artist like A Reece made people want to listen to rap music again. I applaud that sh*t,” tweeted PdotO.

A-Reece might be one of the best in the game, but he has also suffered criticism and at most times been compared to other rappers who are not at the same level as him. Speaking in an interview with DJ Sbu, the rapper was asked how he handles all the comparisons that are thrown before him.

A-Reece said that it’s a good thing and a bad, but he doesn’t allow it to get to him. ; “I don’t know how to feel about that you know, it’s a good thing and its bad thing I guess,” he said. “Because who wants to be compared right? I can only be the best me, but it’s like at the same time, okay everyone is really like I’m so dope everyone just has to, there’s a person or someone who just has to find something that’s lacking or just you know what I mean, too much in this guy’s career and that just means I’m doing something.
