SAPS Probe Costa Titch’s Tragic Death. Police announced that they had begun a probe into the 28-year-old rapper Costa Titch’s untimely death, which occurred while he was performing on stage.
The rapper collapsed whilst performing on Saturday at the Ultra South Africa concert in Johannesburg. According to the SABC, the Gauteng Police Spokesperson Mavela Masondo confirmed that an investigation has been launched on the Costa Titch death. The Police also said that they are waiting for the post-mortem to confirm the cause of death.
“We can confirm that the police in SAPS Booysen have registered a case of inquest following the death of 28-year-old Mr Costa Tsobanoglou on 11 March 2023. It is reported that Tsobanoglou collapsed while he was performing at the Ultra South Africa concert at Nasrec. Post-mortem will determine the cause of death.” Said Masondo.
Even though a post-mortem examination is still pending to determine the exact cause of death IOL reported that Costa Titch experienced seizures that were spurred on by flashing lights.
Costa Titch was a prolific artist who captured a huge following through his eye-catching dance moves and raps. The artist was at the pick of his career attracting global superstars such as Akon with the two recently sealing a partnership deal.
Taking to Instagram, the Senegalese-American paid his tribute to his Titch expressing how much he appreciated the slain rapper’s talent. “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our brother Constantinos Tsobanoglou (aka: COSTA TITCH), after the sad unexpected event occurring last night leading to him collapsing on stage. He was a brilliant superstar and hardworking man with a kind heart, which endeared him to all around him,” wrote Akon.
