The body of work received rave positive reviews when it was released and the streaming numbers keep increasing since then.

The rapper utilised the collaborations of other artists who also contributed to its dominance on the music charts. The award-winning artist collaborated mostly with emerging musicians on songs such as My life, Time and Ungavumi. The rapper recently dropped the music video for Isoka featuring the Q Twins and Mzukulu. The video is currently trending at number 11 on YouTube 3 days after it was released.

Taking to Twitter, the rapper shared the latest streaming numbers of the Isibuko project which shows how the album has performed since its release. Taking from the latest numbers shared by Sjava, Isibuko has managed to secure 7 million streams on Spotify with 6 Million plays coming from YouTube whilst Apple Music secured 6.4 million plays.

The album’s streaming numbers have increased 3 times compared to the first 5 days of its release.

Sjava took his time to create Isibuko, speaking during an interview with Slikour, the famed rapper said that some of the songs were made some years ago whilst some are recent. r. “It took time you know, but I wouldn’t say there’s a certain period. But what we do is we always record you understand, there are songs even on this project that were made in 2018 some hooks were made in 2019. It’s like a whole journey, it’s not like we back to the studio working on this.“ He said.
