According to IOL, police had been keeping a tight check on the suspects throughout the week leading to their arrest on Sunday. According to a source close to the probe, the suspects will be taken to Durban and charged, while they are currently being held in police custody in Cape Town.

The Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel André Traut said that the murder case is for KZN therefore further information will be provided by them. “It is a KZN case, should we get any information, it will be sent to them. You should contact them for information,” he said as per IOL.

Elsewhere, the KZN police spokesperson has stated that they have not received information from the police in Capetown regarding the AKA and Tibz murder case. “We have not received any update on the AKA case,” said  KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda.

Anwar “Dogg” Khan, AKA’s bodyguard, has talked up about the terrible night, revealing that protocol was breached, resulting in Kiernan Forbes‘ killing. “Ninety per cent of our work is the manner in which you move, it’s your planning, its how you prepare, and how you schedule your timing and your placing of yourself as a person,” Dogg said during an interview with ETV.

“In my absence, protocol was breached. Kiernan was called and invited to go to Florida Road (Wish) which he accepted and he went. Had I been there, that protocol would not have been breached, simply because that call would’ve came through the road manager,”  he added.
