Now that the rapper is no more, what is left is his memory, and AKA‘s father Tony Forbes has been resorting to social media to share some of the beautiful moments that were captured in his son’s life. Taking to Instagram, Tony shared some of AKA’s pictures from when he was still a teenager as he was working his way up to become a superstar.

“We learn and we build and we grow,” he wrote taking from the song Touch and Go by Entity Group which AKA was part of with his high school friends. AKA was gunned down outside Durban’s Wish On Florida restaurant, just moments before he was scheduled to play at Yugo, a posh social club.

Ever since his murder, no arrests have been made to this very day. The rapper was killed along with his friend Tibz. Minister Bheki Cele said that progress has been made in gathering all the evidence to apprehend the people behind AKA and Tibz killers.  “Fortunately I get brief every day about this matter, it’s a matter that cant let to rest, unfortunately, we can’t be giving you blow-by-blow of what is happening. But the progress is absolutely there,” he said.
