Vusi Thembekwayo Shares His Top 3 Fav SA Rappers Of All Time. Choosing the best rapper of all time is not an easy task since it’s subjective. This goes with personal preferences from the lyrics of the song, to the type of music the artist produces.

SA Hip hop has witnessed a slew of talented rappers over the past decade, and it’s a never-ending debate to come up with a list of the best SA rappers of all time since everyone has their own view. During an interview with Penuel, Vusi Thembekwayo shared his top 3 favourite SA rappers, with AKA, Pro kid and Stogie T completing his list.

“Sim mode, (Sim Dope) what a guy, I remember the song right, by the way, I’m a huge AKA fan. Pro, AKA, Thumi, boom,” he said.

Despite stating that he is a huge AKA fan, Vusi had some explaining to do after making controversial remarks citing that under the apartheid system, the police would have arrested AKA’s murderers within 24 hours.

 “I’m so sorry for the Forbes family for using your son to make the point. I’m desperately sorry that I’ve amplified your suffering by bringing you into this conversation, this debate,” he said. “And I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. It was not my intention to disrespect Kiernan Forbes’ legacy or to use him for cheap political point-scoring.”

However, Minister Bheki Cele, confirmed that there is progress being made to find the people behind Kiernan Forbes. “Fortunately, I get briefed every day about this matter. It is a matter that we can’t get to rest. And unfortunately, we can’t give a blow-by-blow of what is happening, but the progress is absolutely there,” Cele said.
