YoungstaCPT Responds Eloquently To How Impactful He Is In Capetown. YoungstaCPT has made it a point to tell the untold stories and the struggles that the people of Capetown face every day. The rapper has stepped up to fill the void by speaking out about socioeconomic inequality and gang violence in the city.
The rapper’s fearless stance to speak about the inequality that is faced by the people from his native land has made him a darling in Capetown. His impact through music has been nothing but phenomenal. His love for his people shows how he has associated the city’s initials with his rap name.
One of Youngsta CPT‘s Twitter followers brought into question the rapper’s impact as well as how well-known he is in Cape Town. This came after the rapper’s album 3T turned four years. “How big is @YoungstaCpt impact in Cape Town?” Read the tweet.
In response, the insightful Kaapstad rapper stated that he is the rapper who began by embedding the Capetown initial CPT into his rap name. That alone demonstrates his power and influence in the city. “Ever seen a rapper with CPT in his name? Or any handle for that matter, ya, I did that,” tweeted YoungstaCPT.
In celebration of the 3T album milestone, the rapper stated that there are five songs in the project that shaped his childhood whilst growing up in Capetown. YoungstaCPT said that he had to educate the people of South Africa about coloured people. He said he had to say it in utmost truth and that was only going to be through his music.
“La familie, 786, Tik Generation, Pallet Gun & Crazy Arabian – I’d say those songs captured my childhood in Cape Town. Very introspective. I was candid and kinda over-shared abit but it was important for me to educate South Africa on the so called authentic coloured experience.” He tweeted.
