The project managed to leapfrog US rapper Kendrick Lamar’s album Mr Morale & the Big Steppers on iTunes. During an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, the Amapiano sensation reflected on how significant that experience was for him and how it inspired him to better his upcoming EP.

“It’s always just about delivering the best, I think that’s the pressure that I’m facing,” he said. “It’s about delivering the best to people you know, I’m a firm believer in delivering like the perfect product,” he added. He went on to say that, even though a project is not above par, it must have a good standard without compromising the quality of the music.

“Even if it’s not perfect, but it has to be of great standard, so it’s more about delivering the dopest sound, the dopest project. I always want to up the game for my previous project so ‘Contagious’ did pretty well you know, amazing, so for me, for this one I want it to be a continuation but to a more creative standard. I want people to understand that Felo has grown and he is putting in the work you know.” He said.

Felo Le Tee went on to say that the aim is simply to put more effort into his songs so that people appreciate how hard he works for his achievement. “For me more than anything, it was just about putting in the work so that people can understand that actually Felo actually works or Felo is actually good at what he does.

“I need people to understand that even if maybe I dont drop two months down the line people must still have faith that this guy is good and is going to give us dope music, because not only does he tries to do better he listens to what we want as the people as well.” Said Felo.
