Taking to Instagram, Maglera thanked his fans after he reached his first 2 Million Plays on Apple Music. In the post, the rapper hinted that he is currently working towards something new as he keeps up with the bar he has set for himself. “Mondays are for Motion. Not emotion. Maglera has not received plaudits from his cult-like following, but his fellow rappers such as Nasty C have acknowledged his exceptional work. There is a guy called Maglera Doe Boy, I really really mess with like the way he approaches his music, he’s very poetic, very smart guy, he’s a hood guy so when people see him they expect him to say some typical hood stuff, he’s very smart man,” said Nasty C in an interview with BBC1 Africa.
Maglera will be looking forward to another success after he was nominated for Best Hip Hop Artist at the forthcoming Metro FM Awards. The rapper faces competition from big-name rappers such as AKA, K.O, and Blxckie.
