Sjava Responds With Sarcasm To Claims That He Isn’t A Hip-Hop Artist. Sjava’s music is made to be listened to and his craft of putting in place healing sounds is not something not to be overlooked.
Taking to Twitter, one of the rapper’s followers and fans shared his top SA Hip-hop artists. The list sparked controversial remarks with some tweeps arguing that the Sjava is not a Hip-hop artist. “Abuti… my brother.. I listed you as one of my favorite Hip Hop artists in SA but people are saying your not a hip hop artist.. am I wrong?” Read the tweet.
Sjava responded sarcastically, claiming that he despises hip-hop and trap music and doesn’t even know how to rap. “Yes they are right i am not a hip hop artist i hate iHip hop so much especially Trap music angazi why they keep on saying I am a hip hop Artist I don’t even know what the word hip hop means Worse i don’t even know how to rap.” Sjava tweeted in response.
The rapper is currently on the verge of dropping a second album this year after he released “Isibuko” in January. The rapper’s second album is a joint project with Big Zulu and is set to drop next month. Sjava and Big Zulu joined forces after they partnered with WMA and they planned to deliver something special to the South African music industry.
“This idea started to percolate of bringing Sjava and Big Zulu together for a one-time project. We wanted to do something really special. Things didn’t immediately fall into place, meeting after meeting, putting all the pieces together and coming up with a structure that worked for all parties.” Said WMA managing director Temi Adeniji said.
