AKA’s Megacy Rallies #JusticeForAKA Three Months After Assassination

AKA’s Megacy Rallies #JusticeForAKA Three Months After Assassination. There is a massive rage in the AKA’s Megacy camp after the rap superstar was shot and killed in Durban three months ago.

During the early days after AKA and his friend Tibz were murdered, the police launched a probe in a bid to apprehend the culprits behind the ordered hit. With the investigations that took place some months back, no significant arrests have been made. The Megacy and South Africa at large are all eyes open to witness justice being served but the powers that be have been mum.

Taking to Twitter, AKA‘s relentless fanbase has yet again propelled the hashtag #JusticeForAKA as they mark three months after their iconic rapper was robbed from them. “Justice delayed is justice denied. 3 months after AKA &Tibz were murdered, still no arrests or any word on the matter from the police. How come there was never a call for information, that may assist the police with the investigations, from the public?” Read the tweet from one of AKA’s Megacy.

As the country runs out of patience, Minister of Police Bheki Cele assured the public that his police force is cracking the case. “Fortunately I get brief every day about this matter, it’s a matter that cant let to rest, unfortunately, we can’t be giving you blow-by-blow of what is happening. But the progress is absolutely there,” he said.

“Maybe things that I am not supposed to say. But one of them I can, we have collected many cellphones that we are working, download and all that kind of thing, trying to patch and knit things together. That is the last I received yesterday (Monday, 6 March 2023) at about 10 pm.” He added.

“We acknowledge it’s not with the speed that the community would’ve loved and the nation would’ve loved to see, but mark the space we’re cracking the case.”
