DJ Sliqe Shares His Highest & Lowest Moments As An Independent Artist. DJ Sliqe has had a tremendous run in the SA hip-hop game recently, with most of his popular releases winning plaudits from rap aficionados.

In an interview on Sobering Podcast, the prominent SA Hip-hop DJ shared his current trajectory as an independent artist. The famed DJ said that his highest moment was when Sta Soft music video hit 1 Million views. “I think my highest independent moment, Sta Soft to a Million views that’s the impromptu truth also.

We didn’t plan it, we were taking photos for the cover, and when we were done taking photos Flvme said Sliqe with all these people here you not going to do nothing, I said you’re right my boy.” Sliqe said. “We shot that video two to three times and it came out and also it’s about to go gold that’s something like a proud independent moment. It’s like yo independent we did it, eight, nine months well-done guys, everyone on the song well done. I dont think I have done that quick numbers in my career yet.”

Speaking about his lowest moment, Sliqe said; “when I had 100 rands left in my account, this is recently after we have shot three videos, three days in a row.”

Sliqe went on and explained how he managed to get himself out of the financial crisis he was in. “The lowest moment is when we used all the money, I’m broke. That could’ve put me in a place where I spiralled down on some ah this stuff doesn’t work and do some desperate decisions. Luckily I just prayed and applied myself and go get your leg back.” Sliqe said.

The Do Like I Do hitmaker recently took to social media and celebrated a massive milestone for his hit Sta Soft. “We did it guys. We won. We love and appreciate y’all  Thank you for keeping culture alive,” tweeted DJ Sliqe.
