DJ Speedsta Responds To Claims That He Gave Up On The SA Hip-Hop Culture

DJ Speedsta Responds To Claims That He Gave Up On The SA Hip-Hop Culture. DJ Speedsta has played a significant role in the SA Hip hop culture, and he has dished a slew of hit songs along the way. With so many big changes in SA rap over the years, the famed DJ has taken a back seat in the game and is not releasing as much music as he used to.

His counterpart DJ Sliqe has been all hands on deck dropping hit after hit. Sliqe’s recent work is a star-studded track featuring Emtee, Saudi and Thato Saul. Taking to Twitter, Zingah posed a question on whether DJ Sliqe is the only reliable SA hip-hop DJ when it comes to dropping hit songs. “Is @Sliqe the only Hip Hop DJ we can rely on for bangers??” Tweeted Zingah.

The rapper’s remarks triggered some of his followers to come to the conclusion that the likes of DJ Speedsta gave up on the culture hence it’s only Sliqe who is left to deliver. “Unfortunately abo @speedstabro gave up on the culture so @Sliqe is really holding down with the bangers,” read the tweet.

The Mayo hitmaker took issue with the words, adding that he prefers real life to culture, implying that the so-called culture is a death trap. “Iā€™m 31 years old. Number 1, Iā€™m not your friend. Secondly, I chose life ā€œreal lifeā€ this ā€œcultureā€ you speak of will kill you! Careful young man! Donā€™t just run your mouth!” Tweeted DJ Speedsta.

As much as he has not been releasing much music, Speedsta still represents SA Hip-hop on some of the biggest platforms. The famed DJ is currently starring in the ongoing TV reality show Love & Hip-Hop SA along with other fellow rappers such as Yanga Chief, Gigi Lamayne, FiFi Cooper, Money Badoo, Da L.E.S and J Molley.
