PICS! Tony Forbes Shares A Manchester United Shirt He Bought For AKA When He Was 14. Not only was he the love of music, but AKA was also a big football fan mostly a devoted Manchester United follower.
AKA made it known that he was a big Manchester United fan not only during his celebrity life but since he was a young lad. Taking to Instagram, AKA’s father Tony Forbes shared a Manchester United shirt he bought the late rapper when he was 14 years old.
The Supa Mega’s father affirmed how much AKA loved Manchester United and his loyalty to the football team he supported. “Finally sorting my cupboard….see what I found. I bought this for him at Old Trafford when I think he was 14. He kept it after all the years. ❤️ He really loved United and stayed loyal.” Wrote Tony Forbes.
Not only has he managed to keep a Manchester United shirt he got when he was 14, the Supa Mega even had a Manchester United logo tattoo on his arm. Following the tragic passing of AKA, Manchester United football club took time to honour the Supa Mega. The club paid tribute to him in the FA Cup matchday programme versus West Ham United.
“We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Kiernan Forbes, otherwise known as AKA, a rapper and United supporter from South Africa. He was a huge red greatly admired by so many. Our thoughts are with his family and many loved ones,” read the tribute. AKA was shot dead at a popular restaurant in Durban on February 10. The shooting also resulted in the death of his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
