WATCH! Inside Sho Madjozi’s 31st African-themed Birthday Celebration. There would never be mention of Sho Madjozi turning 31 without some form of celebration. This time around the famed rapper took time to honour the African in her by hosting an African-themed birthday celebration party.
Sho Madjozi celebrated her birthday with her people in her home town of Limpopo last year. This time, she’s gone the modern route, but with an African twist.
Taking to Instagram, the John Cena hitmaker shared images of her star-studded birthday celebration. The party was graced by some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry with the likes of Makhadzi in attendance. The rapper mentioned that this year’s theme was about showcasing the African in her. “The theme for my birthday party this year: The African Union.” She wrote.
Sho Madjozi has proven herself to be a superstar numerous times, and she reinforced this on her birthday by contrasting herself to astronomical stars. “I was trying to Google how stars are born and of course all the results were about astronomical stars and how they are born from collapsing clouds of gas and dust and a great many interactions of small and enormous particles fusing in ridiculous heat.
“And if you think of the millions of tiny and large events that collided to make it so that I was born who I was, where I was, when I was, you can see that I had no choice but to become a star. Happy birthday to me.” Wrote Sho Madjozi.
