DJ Sliqe Drops ‘Ekhoneni’ Music Video Ft. Emtee, Thato Saul & Saudi. DJ Sliqe is currently the man of the moment in the SA Hip-hop space considering the amount of music and videos he has dropped off his Champion 2 project.
The famed hip-hop DJ has been working with the hottest SA rappers right now, with the likes of Blxckie, Thato Saul, Maglera Doe Boy, and Saudi amongst others. Following the release of Ekhoneni four weeks ago, Sliqe gathered Emtee, Thato Saul and Saudi for a highly anticipated music video shoot.
Taking to Twitter, Sliqe announced the release of the music video as he expressed his excitement. “The eKhoneni filim is out now on YouTube, let’s get straaaaaighht to the moneeeyy 🥊😮💨🏆 @emteerecords @ThatoSaul @Saudi_rsa,” tweeted Sliqe.
In the music video, Sliqe can be seen with the featured rappers performing their verses in a township backdrop. The brass band also contributed to the song’s tremendous tone. The track is a hustler’s anthem about going after the money and Sliqe chose the best rappers to deliver the music concept with Emtee delivering a powerful verse and a hook, whilst Saudi and Thato Saul’s verse added the much-needed firmness.
Sliqe’s contribution to the game has been nothing but consistent and he has achieved his recent dominance as an independent artist. The hip-hop DJ has however faced his own uphill battles in his quest to deliver the current joints that the culture is enjoying. The likes of Sta Soft and Championship 2 are among the tracks that have dominated the music charts in SA Hip-hop.
