The two famed rappers’ working relationship with Warner Music Africa is bearing fruits. This is evident with the success of their album release titled Ukhamba which garnered a good reception amongst their vast following. Taking to Instagram, Sjava and Big Zulu could not thank their fans enough after the body of work surpassed 14 million streams. “Siyabonga Mzansi for streaming Ukhamba, album” wrote Inkabi Zezwe.
The duo has been enjoying a successful spell ever since they announced their collaboration. The album’s lead single, Umbayimbayi, was the genesis of their magnificent journey as a merge, reaching gold status two weeks after its release.
In a bid to reach a wider audience, Inkabi Zezwe will be embarking on a nationwide tour. The tour kicks off on Saturday, 24 June at the SunBet Arena Time Square in Pretoria, followed by the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on Saturday, 29 July, the Big Top Arena at Carnival City on Saturday, 3 August, and the HollywoodBets Kings Park Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 3 September.
Taking to Twitter, the duo has been urging their fans to get their tickets so that they won’t miss out on what’s in store when the big-name rappers come to their area. “Mzansi! Do you have your tickets for the @inkabizezwe tour yet? They’re on sale at @computicket now,” tweeted the duo.
