Cassper Nyovest On Impact Of AKA’s Death On Him
Cassper Nyovest On Impact Of AKA’s Death On Him. The tragic passing of AKA in February 2023 came as a shock to many South Africans and the globe at large. However, despite their long and fierce rivalry, Cassper Nyovest expressed his condolences to the Forbes family following their loss.
Even though SA Hip hop fans are distraught following AKA’s passing, the Mass Country album has been keeping them close to the slain rapper. Cassper Nyovest is amongst the people who are still coming to grips with AKA’s passing and he has been having a good time listening to the album.
Speaking during an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, Cassper said he has been a fan of good music hence his love for AKA’s joint Company featuring Kddo. The Doc Shebeleza hitmaker also admitted that AKA‘s passing was a bitter pill to swallow despite people having another narrative in regard to how he felt.
“I’ve always been a fan of good music, I think with this project of Kiernan it’s so hard for me,” Cassper said. “People don’t even understand how hard it was for me, and people might take it however. Company is a brilliant song, it’s not every day you hear a song like that, it makes you feel so good.”
Nyovest is currently working on releasing a new album this month titled Solomon and he has promised to deliver a masterpiece. Cassper might have dabbled in the Yanos wave, but he has made it clear that his forthcoming project is strictly hip-hop.
“No Piano on the album AT ALL. My last piano verse I did was a song called Hokoto by Hbk live act. The song killing it on the streets. After that, I locked in and I made my best Hip Hop album at 32 years old.” Tweeted Cassper Nyovest.
