Tkay Uncovers The Song A-Reece Was Supposed To Feature On AKA’s Mass Country Album
Tkay Uncovers The Song A-Reece Was Supposed To Feature On AKA’s Mass Country Album. The South African hip-hop industry has always been brimming with talent and collaborations that create magic on record.
One of the highly anticipated collaborations in recent years was between hip-hop heavyweights AKA and A-Reece which never materialized following the passing of the Supa Mega. However, A-Reece has been on the chopping block amongst SA Hip-hop fans after learning that the rapper did not feature on AKA’s posthumous Mass Country album. Following the criticism from fans for not featuring on AKA’s album A-Reece did not take time to share his side of the story.
Taking to Twitter, Tkay shared a picture with a playlist showing that A-Reece was poised to feature on AKA’s Sponono along with Sjava. Tkay said that he is aware that Reece will never come out to give his side of the story as to why the collaboration with the late rapper didn’t happen.
“I know The Boy ain’t never gonna talk about it…. And nobody from AKA’s champ reached out for the stems.. check the date,” tweeted Tkay. Even though there is so much anguish amongst the SA Hip-hop fans towards A-Reece missing out on the Mass Country album, Producer Malefactor came and stated that the two rappers have an unreleased song together.
“The Track Is Done. It’s AKA, Areece & Ntate Stunna Produced By Dj Malefactor. Got It Earlier The Day He Died. Already Posted About It. The Track Is Not On Mass Country. He Never Discussed Much About It He Just Sent It To Me Then I Asked If I Should Post The Snippet On My Whatsapp. Few Hours Later I Heard My Boii Is Gone.” He wrote.
